Digital Forensics & Crypto Assets

Digital forensics faces abundant challenges. In the context of the LOCARD project, this webinar will focus on the main barriers to collect and properly manage digital evidence on crypto-assets-related crimes.

The LOCARD project is developing a platform to secure the chain of custody of digital evidence throughout the flow of forensic analysis. The platform will store digital evidence data and metadata using blockchain technology. Therefore, during this webinar, we will discuss how to assess new practices in digital investigations and propose effective approaches for processing digital  evidence in preparation for court presentation. In addition, we will analyse how to facilitate the process of exchanging cross-border evidence and how cryptocurrency-related crimes can be detected and evidence stored on the LOCARD Platform.
